Happy Oscars Sunday!

Are we all ready for the finale of Oppenheimer’s awards season sweep?

Don’t get me wrong–I’m a huge fan of Oppenheimer. It was one of my favorite films of 2023. It’s just that I would love to see some more variety in winning films this evening, but I don’t think that’s happening.

But here’s what is happening! The show is kicking off an hour early at 4 p.m. (PT) / 7 p.m. (ET) live on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel is hosting for the fourth time–and based on his promo with the cast of Barbie, we should be in for an entertaining night of celebrating cinema.

Speaking of Barbie, what I’m looking forward to the most this evening is Ryan Gosling’s live performance of “I’m Just Ken.” I was so bummed when he and Emma Stone didn’t perform the year La La Land had multiple Original Song nominations, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing the song that took last summer by storm live on the Oscars stage.

But let’s get to why you’re here! Below you’ll find my personal picks and final predictions for the 2024 Oscars.

Connect with me on Threads to let me know your thoughts and your picks to win. See you on the other side!

Please note: Nominated films that I didn’t get a chance to see are denoted with an asterisk(*).
